Riverview to become The Diner on Main

In July of 2012, Main Street suffered a major blow when Earl and Shirley Amos decided to retire and close the Riverview Restaurant. For the last seven months 88 Main Street has been vacant, removing the only fully licensed bar in Cathlamet. Next month marks the launch of a new restaurant, The Diner on Main, owned and operated by Sharon and John Buennagel. Celebrating the 1950’s, the new restaurant will be family oriented while still offering a full bar. The menu is brand new and will not conflict with the family’s other business, Sharon’s Pizza. The Diner on Main is currently hiring staff with restaurant experience. Visit the help wanted section of this edition of the Eagle for more information.

Adult Vaccinations Available at the Family Health Center

Family Health Center is currently offering TDap (whooping cough), Hepatitis A, Hepatitis B, and Pneumovax vaccines for adults. Over the last two decades, new immunizations have been developed which may require a booster. In some instances, vaccines are only available for those over the age of 19. For more information or to make an appointment, call Family Health Center at 795-3201.
