NOTICE TO ASPHALT PRODUCT SUPPLIERS

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that sealed quotes will be accepted by the Wahkiakum County Public Works Department, in the County Courthouse at 64 Main Street, P.O. Box 97, Cathlamet, WA 98612 until the hour of 10:00 A.M. on February 12, 2013 and then publicly opened and read, for the purchase of Commercial Grade hot mix asphalt and EZ Street Bags. Quotes must be submitted on the forms provided and will be opened and read in the chambers of the Board of County Commissioners. Please mark envelopes "2013 ASPHALT QUOTE".

Asphalt shall conform to Sections 5-04 and 9-03, where applicable, of the 2012 Washington DOT Standard Specifications for Road, Bridge and Municipal Construction. Materials which are not included in the Standard Specifications must meet the specifications of the County Engineer or his designee. A variable quote tied to asphalt supply costs will be considered if cost formulas are presented.

The Board reserves the right to reject any or all quotes, and to waive any informality, and to accept the quotes deemed to be in the best interest of Wahkiakum County. The quantity of the various asphalt products which Wahkiakum County may purchase in 2013 is undetermined.
