Chamber to hold salmon derby

The Wahkiakum Chamber of Commerce will hold their first Salmon Derby March 29 and 30 at the Elochoman Slough Marina, 500 2nd Street, Cathlamet. Weigh-in for gill cut fish will be between 2-5 p.m. each day.
Adult tickets, 17 and older, are $20 each, youth tickets for ages 11-16 are $10 each, kids age 10 and under are free. Purchase tickets at Elochoman Slough Marina, Bank of the Pacific Cathlamet branch, or Moore Auto.
There will be vendors at the marina and prizes include custom fishing rods plus cash prizes.
Proceeds go towards Wahkiakum High School Scholarships.
