NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING ON DETERMINATION OF INACTIVITY OF SKAMOKAWA PARK & RECREATION DISTRICT AND ADVISABILITY OF DISSOLVING THAT DISTRICT

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners for Wahkiakum County, Washington, shall conduct a public hearing to determine whether or not the Skamokwa Park and Recreation District (hereafter, "the District") meets either of the criteria for being "inactive" as provided in RCW 36.96.010, to wit: whether the District (a) has not carried out any of the special purposes or functions for which it was formed within the preceding consecutive five-year period; or (b) no election has been held for the purpose of electing a member of the governing body of the District within the preceding consecutive seven-year period.

This hearing will commence at the hour of 10:30 A.M. on Tuesday, the 7th day of May, 2013, in the Commissioners' Public Meeting Room, 3rd Floor, Wahkiakum County Courthouse, 64 Main Street, Cathlamet, Washington 98612.

Any person may appear at the hearing and speak for or against the proposition that the District is inactive, and whether it is in the public interest to dissolve the District.

PLEASE BE ADVISED: The Skamokawa Park and Recreation District is not the owner, operator, or manager of the Skamokawa Vista Park.

The Commissioners' Public Meeting Room is accessible for persons with disabilities.
