Wahkiakum crafts on show at Redmen Hall
Redmen Hall will open on February 4 with an exhibit by crafts people of Wahkiakum County.
A Kaleidoscope of Wahkiakum Crafts will cover a range of crafts from fabric arts to woodcarvings, tiles, ceramics and more. The hall opens at  noon and visitors will have a chance to meet the crafts people from 1  to 3 p.m. with cookies and hot cider.
The rest of the hall has been restocked with new books and gifts and historical exhibits.
Redmen Hall is located in Skamokawa at 1391 SR-4. For more information call 360-795-8675. Opening hours are noon to 4 p.m.

Audubon field trip planned
The Willapa Hills Audubon will hold a field trip to the Ridgefield National Wildlife Refuge on February 11 to view winter waterfowl and raptors.  Departure will be at 8 a.m. from Longview with target return of noon.  Space is limited.  To reserve a space, call or email John Green at 360-575-9238 or jgreen2317@aol.com.

Information sessions set for Running Start
High school students can save time and money by earning high school and college credits at the same time at Lower Columbia College through Running Start.
To enroll for the 2012–13 school year, students and a parent or guardian must attend one of these information sessions:
• February 7, 3:30 p.m. or 6 p.m. in the LCC Student Center.
• February 9, 6:30 p.m. in the Castle Rock High School Library.
• February 23, 6 p.m. in the LCC Student Center.
• February 28, 6:30 p.m. in the Woodland High School Library.

LCC sets free scholarship night

Those seeking college scholarships can learn how to get organized, find scholarships, write applications, and avoid scams at LCC’s free Scholarship Night on February 9, 6:30–7:30 p.m. at the Lower Columbia College Student Center. An LCC Foundation representative will also brief students on LCC scholarships, and how to apply.
