I’m starting this column on a very heartwarming note this week. Remember the little missing dog from the Hull Creek area? Well, Cindy and Rick Lahti are happy to announce that their precious Glory has come home after being missing for several weeks.

I spent last Thursday afternoon at the birthing center in Astoria, and at 7:05 p.m., we welcomed our 11th grandchild, 8 pound 8 ounce Wyatt Lee Cruz to the world.

Appelo to be honored Sunday
As most of us know, Carlton Appelo has served as a commissioner on the board of Port District #2 since its inception. Through the efforts of Carlton, Bobby Larson and Ture Oman, that district was created and has grown over the years to include Vista Park and Svensen Boat Launch and it continues to work on the Oneida buoy system.

Comets advance to playoffs
The KM trophy is in the hands of our own Naselle Comets after last Friday’s win over the Wahkiakum Mules. It was a good game. Congratulations to the Comet team.

Rosburg Store marks one year anniversary
