Daffodils are coming up and they’re beginning to bloom but still the weather doesn’t seem to be pointing to nicer weather in the near future. Lots of robins pulling worms out of the dirt and enjoying a meaty feast. Frogs singing every night, so there is hope.

Hat Day was fun learning experience
The first grade class at Naselle elementary school enjoyed a fun hat day on January 26. They checked out camouflage hats, tall hats, and silly hats.

Lake Fred has receded; ducks gone
Maybe, maybe we will see some sunshine this week. Lake Fred (my pasture) is down and the ducks are gone. We can once again drive out our driveway without worrying about water getting into the vehicle. Oh, the joys of winter in Grays River.

Garage sale at Johnson Park this weekend
Cold, cold, cold! I hope everyone was prepared for it. The sunshine was a Godsend during the days, though, and allowed us to get most of the roofing done on our house. Once it is complete we can concentrate on inside work.
