Garage sale at Johnson Park this weekend
Cold, cold, cold! I hope everyone was prepared for it. The sunshine was a Godsend during the days, though, and allowed us to get most of the roofing done on our house. Once it is complete we can concentrate on inside work.

Service dog chosen; donations still welcome
I understand that Kenzie Abbott, the young lady from Cathlamet who is raising money for the training of a service dog, has chosen her puppy from a local couple here in Grays River.

Winter break for schools not sports
Sunday certainly brought an interesting storm to our area. The Grays River was over its banks and in the fields within a few minutes that afternoon.

My goodness, it’s nearly December, and another year almost gone. Christmas is almost here. This was an unusual beginning for our week. Snow, snow and even a little more snow. An early deadline for the week also throws off the norm.

DNR may close Tunerville Camp
It seems that the Department of Natural Resources is once again trying to close it down, and that date is fast approaching. They plan to close it in January 2011.
