What's happening at the Fair?

Happy 4th of July from the fair. The Fairboard is still looking for fair royalty. The program has changed back to its old way of the Queen/King being chosen on the amount of money they earn. So if you are looking for a way to earn some extra cash this summer give me a call at the office. We need participants from the Cathlamet, Puget Island and Westend areas. I would like to get this program going as soon as possible.

We will be having a clean up day on July 13 at the fairgrounds starting at 10 a.m. Kim Nettles will have a group cleaning the horse barn, the cow barn will be getting some repairs done, the Wahkiakum Fair Foundation will be painting the youth building floor and as always there is weeding in the flower beds. If you are interested in helping or have some ideas please give me a call at the office 360-795-3480.

If you were a vendor last year and I haven't talked to you yet, please give the office a call. I am also looking for new vendors so if you would like to be a vendor or know someone who would, please let me know.

A big thank you to Jean Beerbower, Lore Twiet and Courtney Zurick for running the garage sale. The leftover items were donated to the Mule Wrestlers.

Next week the office will start having permant hours as the county commissioners hired Kelly Hammond as my Administrative Assistant. Watch next week’s Eagle for the times.
