St. James Family Center in Cathlamet will present programs on youth and family safety on April 28, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Organizers say the program will feature activities for people of all ages. Organizers plan to have a bicycle raffle.
Topics include, among many, a bicycle safety course, water safety, gun safety, and infant and toddler safety, including inspections of car seats. Free safety items will be distributed.
An instructor will lead children through the principles of bicycle safety; participants should bring their own bikes. New helmets will be distributed.
Local firemen will have a fire truck on hand for inspection, and they’ll talk about safety issues.
Volunteers will provide finger printing for families who want to have finger print records of their children.
Refreshments will be available.
