League leading Adna, 10-1, outhit the Mules 13-10 and escaped with a 10-8 win.
"We gave them all they could handle and almost won," Rooklidge said.
Adna jumped ahead 9-2 in the fourth inning with six runs on two home runs and two doubles. In the bottom of the fourth, the Mules came back with six runs of their own. Willette had a two run double, and Anderson added a one run single.
Willette and McClain each had two hits, including a double and knocked in two runs. Anderson had two hits and one run batted in (rbi); Briscoe also had two hits, and CJ Bridges and Blaine Fritzie each singled.
April 27 at Morton
Mules 9, Huskies 3
The Mules outhit the Huskies 13-4, and Mule pitcher Travis Bain pitched a complete game, striking out four batters and walking only one.
"He was in command the entire game," Rooklidge said. "He was outstanding."
Rongey was perfect at the plate with four hits in four at-bats; he also scored four runs. McClain had two hits and three rbi's. Fritzie had two hits and scored two runs. Bain doubled in a run; Willette singled and knocked in three runs; Ben Doumit doubled; Bridges and Briscoe also had hits.
