September 6, 2007 WSU’s online forest landowner’s seminar, postponed from 2006 is now available. Entitled “Trees, shrubs, and forest floor plants: Get what you want from your forest," the streaming video seminars include: • Reforesting on marginal agricultural land. • Shrubs, grasses & old trees: Havens for wildlife. • Forest floor: Shrubs and herbaceous plants - enjoyment, diversity, and value. • Ecology and silviculture of Washington hardwoods. • Managing mixed stands. • Young stands and plantations: What is the best approach to improving quality? • Reforestation & afforestation: How to get started, how to maintain young plantations. High-speed internet is available on WSU's public access computers, 8 a.m to noon and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.
