Visitors on Sunday at the United Church of Christ will have a double attraction.
Julie McKinley will tell about her trip to Africa, and the religious art reproductions of Marie Hauge's collection will be on display.
McKinley, a registered nurse, volunteered to go to Africa in July to assist with the Imani Project. Taking healthcare items and school supplies to Kenya, the goal of the project is to enable Africans to become educators, advocates, and caregivers so that AIDS awareness and prevention information can be spread in rural areas.
Also on Sunday, the church will be the scene of many masterworks by artists such as Giotto, Michelangelo, and Raphael. Hauge, who lives on Puget Island has loaned the works to the church for several weeks.
