If your property was damaged by the recent snow, rainstorm, landslide, or flooding, you are encouraged to report your damages.

 

How to Report Damage

  1. Collect and prepare your information (name, address, insurance type, insurance deductible, estimated pre-disaster fair market value, estimated structure loss, estimated personal property loss, whether you own or rent, whether your property is destroyed or how it was affected.

 

  1. Call the Wahkiakum Co. Sheriff’s Office (360) 795-3242 to provide this information to the damage assessment team.
  1.  Deadline for reporting initial damage is Wednesday, January 14, 2009.

 

Please Note: There are many steps to reporting damages. Do not assume that your homeowners insurance will cover your damage. It is important to report damage to county officials because they are working with the Washington State Department of Emergency Management to help qualify the public for financial assistance.
