Covered Bridge Road closure starts Monday

Construction and repairs to the Grays River Covered Bridge will close Covered Bridge Road two or more days next week.
Wahkiakum County Public Works Director Pete Ringen said the closure should start Monday. He believes the work can be completed in two days, but the county commissioners have authorized a closure from Monday through Friday next week.
Crews will complete repairs to the roof, replace some running boards, repair rotting portions of a sill, pave approaches and so on.
The cost of the work to repair will be covered 100 percent by federal sources, Ringen said.
