Mule golfers win district crown
The Wahkiakum Mule golf team claimed its third consecutive district championship last week at Ocean Shores and advanced to this week's state tournament in Kennewick.
The Mules had a team score of 728; Northwest Christian was second with 743.
Cody Olsen finished second in individual standings with a 36 hole total of 168. Cole Claussen finished third at 174; Justin McClain was 10th at 190, and Andrew Weiler finished 14th at 196.
The state tournament started Tuesday with a practice round. The top 40 golfers in Wednesday's first round advanced to the final round today (Thursday).
