Commissioners of Port District 2 are planning to continue work on updating their comprehensive plan.

At the Tuesday meeting of the port's board of commissioners, Commissioner Kayrene Gilbertsen said she would contact a consulting firm to discuss production of the updated plan.

Commissioners have individually held meetings around the district to gather ideas, and those will be shared with the consultant to update the plan, commissioners said.

In other business, Gilbertsen suggested the port ramp up its advertising program for Skamokawa Vista Park.

Commissioners discussed how they might advertise and where, and they authorized Gilbertsen to bring a proposal for consideration at their August 21 meeting.
