IGA Cathlamet Market Partners with JDRF to raise awareness of Type 1 Diabetes. Each year 30,000 Americans are diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes (T1D), forever changing their day to day lives. In an effort to raise awareness and generate funds, IGA has teamed up with JDRF, the largest charitable supporter of T1D research to launch the paper sneaker campaign. The campaign, which kicked off on Wednesday, February 6 and runs to Tuesday, March 26 involves colorful JDRF paper sneakers which will be sold for $1. Shoppers are encouraged to sign and hang their paper sneaker within the store, with the purpose of raising awareness within the community. All funds raised will go directly to our local chapter.
