On April 29 at 6 p.m., Cowlitz County Master Gardener Jon Griffin will discuss the benefits of using a raised bed for a vegetable garden.

Griffin will discuss the benefits of a raised bed and how to manage a garden in a raised bed to lengthen the garden season.

Participants may be able to take home a 4x8 foot raised bed from the class. Cost of the class is $200 per raised bed purchased. The bed can be delivered for Cowlitz County residents. One must pre-registrar by April 25.

The program, sponsored by Washington State University Extension, will be held at the Cowlitz County Training Center, 1942 First Avenue in Longview.
