Floyd Herman Hoven, Jr., 67, of Yreka, Calif. died February 15, 2011 at his home.
He was born on May 8, 1943 in New Haven, Mich. and worked many different jobs. He went back to school to get his high school diploma in 1998 and at that time, he got his mechanic certificate.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years Barbara Jean Hoven; daughters Corrina Sue Chandler Wallace and Ronda Jean Collier, both of Yreka; son John Floyd Hoven of Brookings, Ore.; brothers Richard Hoven and wife Joyce of Cathlamet, John Hoven and wife Anita of Puget Island, and Fred Hoven and wife Darlene of Cathlamet; sisters Toni Ross of Port Orchard, Gloria Homes of Kailoa, Kona, Hawaii, Christine Andres of Roseville, Calif. and Cindy Grasseth and husband Calvin of Cathlamet; eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Floyd was preceded in death by his mother Agatha Hoven, his father Floyd Hoven, Sr. and his granddaughter Jessica Chandler.
A celebration of life was held on February 26, 2011 at the Grenada Berean Church in California.
