Anna Reime Giaver, 89, passed away on April 22 at her home in Cathlamet. She was born on May 26, 1924 in Voss, Norway to Olaf and Ingeborg Reime. She married Paul Giaver on March 17, 1958 in Seattle, after coming to the United States in 1954. They lived in Seattle, Port Angeles and Sedro Wooley prior to coming to Cathlamet in 1968.

After Paul’s retirement in 1987 they wintered in Cathedral City, CA near Palm Springs where Anna loved the sunshine. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and was a talented seamstress. Anna was a member of the Sons Of Norway on Puget Island.

She is survived by her husband Paul, three nieces and three nephews. Anna was preceded in death by two brothers, Sjur and Olaf Reime, and two sisters, Syneva Merkesdal and Maria Ellingson. She was the youngest of five children. A Funeral service will be held on Monday April 28 at Dowling Chapel in Cathlamet with a graveside committal at Greenwood Cemetery.
