Portland television news crews came to Cathlamet Tuesday to interview Cindy Faubion, above, and her daughter, Raedyn Grasseth, about their part in the rescue of a kayaker stranded on a pile dike on Sunday. A sheriff's department dispatcher, Grasseth knew her mother and step father, Cindy and Bill Faubion, were in the area, and she alerted them.
