Sheriff's Report - March 17, 2011

 

March 17, 2011



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

March 7--2:07 p.m. An officer responded to a report of a domestic disturbance at a Skamokawa valley residence. 2:52 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet resident needing transportation to a hospital. 5:01 p.m. A caller reported a man had violated a parenting order; an officer investigated and determined a criminal violation hadn't occurred. 10:28 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported hearing lots of gunshots near a residence; an officer made contact.

March 8--8:29 a.m. A Westend resident reported someone had trespassed and relocated a streambed; an officer investigated. 12:17 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman with pneumonia. 12:24 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported being threatened; an officer investigated.

March 9--9:40 a.m. A caller said a woman was driving around without license plates on her vehicle and had been doing so for a few months; an officer was unable to locate the vehicle. 11:34 a.m. A Skamokawa resident reported someone had stolen a generator and battery.

March 10--9:27 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a trampoline was hanging on a power line and the power was out; Wahkiakum PUD was notified. 2:10 p.m. A motorist reported lots of white foam at the base of a rivulet coming off Nassa Point; Department of Ecology investigated. 3:14 p.m. An Elochoman Valley resident reported being threatened. 4:30 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman with breathing trouble. 4:52 p.m The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman injured in a fall. 8:42 p.m. A Cathlamet resident reported coming home to find that someone had broken into the house and taken a TV, VCR, amps and other gear.

March 11--12:02 a.m. Emergency management officials notified the department of a potential tidal wave. 2:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island man with severe pain. 9:32 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a theft of medication. 1:47 p.m. A motorist reported SR 4 was partially blocked by a landslide near Stella; the Department of Transportation was notified. 9:59 p.m. A caller reported a tree had fallen across power lines and knocked out power to the Nassa Point area.

March 12--1:53 a.m. Officers and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to a one car accident on West Birnie Slough Road; the female driver wasn't injured, but she was charged with driving while being intoxicated. 2:01 p.m. A caller reported a person was threatening to commit suicide; a mental health professional responded. 7:22 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an Elochoman Valley woman. 7:43 p.m. A Greenwood Road resident reported a theft of property. 11:15 p.m. A caller reported hearing shots near a residence on Bradley Mountain.

March 13--11:06 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale man with chest pain. 6:09 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet woman who had fallen.
