Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:
June 25--11:13 a.m. A caller reported that his uncle had made false statements about him and committed perjury at the Superior Courtroom. A deputy was advised. 1:14 p.m Deputies responded to a Jacobson Road address on a warrant service. One person was taken into custody. 9:48 p.m. An Elochoman Valley Road resident reported a possible stolen vehicle.
June 26--10:05 a.m. A caller reported that log trucks were speeding through the construction zone on SR 4 and workers were concerned about getting hit.
June 27--9:53 p.m. A Welcome Slough Place resident reported a scam phone call from a person claiming to be their grandchild in Peru. 11:00 a.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported that someone had stolen his medication. 1:08 p.m. A caller reported that her husband had dumped her belongings outside of a local church and she required help as she was at a doctor's appointment. A deputy made contact.
June 28--3:12 a.m. A 911 call from Pacific County asking for a deputy to respond to KM Mountain was dropped and the State Patrol was notified. A call was received from Cowlitz County dispatch at 3:15 a.m., stating that they had received a call from a logger on the mountain who reported a naked man had been in a car for over 12 hours. Deputies and Emergency Medical Services responded. 2:21 p.m. A caller reported that there was a partially jackknifed logging truck near the Rosburg Store. 5:42 p.m. A Boege Road resident reported receiving harassing phone calls. 10:29 p.m. A North Welcome Slough Road resident reported a car was parked in front of a fire hydrant. The same car was reported in the same location the following day at 8:58 a.m.
June 29--1:22 p.m. A Country Court Lane resident reported that a man armed with a shotgun was harassing his neighbors.
June 30--12:08 p.m. A caller reported that the water system on Puget Island had been disturbed which would likely cause water discoloration for a few hours. 2:19 p.m.A Jacobson Road resident reported being harassed by a woman. 3:18 p.m. A caller at County Line Park reported that their significant other had the caller's children and was refusing to return them. A deputy assisted. 11:48 p.m. A 2nd Street resident reported a custodial dispute had become a domestic disturbance. A domestic violence advocate was consulted.
July 1--10:16 a.m. A Jacobson Road resident reported being injured in a domestic dispute that had happened the previous day. 10:09 p.m. A caller reported that a maintenance man was stealing items from an East Birnie Slough Road residence. A deputy made contact.
