Old time loggers reunion January 29

Wow, we've had some nippy nights in West Valley but we certainly love the clear, sunny days that have often accompanied them.

Many events already scheduled for 2011

Considering that we've spent the days leading up to Christmas where we were frozen solid, like last year, and like the year before, where we saw umpteen buildings collapse, including our fairground's arena, this year's Christmas weather was a piece of cake!

Last shopping days before Christmas

Holy cow, did we have some rain last weekend or what? Not to mention before and after the weekend!

Free spaghetti dinner on Saturday

e've had some dry days with sunshine and some wet ones with windy conditions, but they all seemed very cold to me, rain or shine.

Mail cards and packages early

As this work week begins, it is fairly calm outside; no snow or hail or packed ice or anything really terrible like last week, so I am thankful for that.

Redmen Hall offers various events

As this week begins, the temperatures dropped to 26 degrees in West Valley and things were frosty white.

New officers at Skamokawa Grange

As this work week begins, it is cold and wet and nasty looking out there, so a good day to stay in and sit by the fire or, in my case, start typing!

Time to prepare for winter weather

As we ended one month and began another, the weather was a mixed bag of either sunshine, gorgeous out, like last Friday, or rain, which consumed a good deal of Saturday.

Halloween is upon us this Sunday

We are still seeing heavy rains and nasty weather, but that was nothing compared to the weekend storms that rolled through the area; not fit for man nor beast out there!

Neewollah Daze and Halloween are near

t's that time of year when ghosts and goblins and superheros abound. Halloween is the weekend after this one and it falls on a Sunday this year.

Grangers do good work; need help

The grangers do good works throughout the year but we could always use a little help.

Two weeks and still without computer

The evenings are a bit crisp, but the days have been pretty pleasant. While I kept expecting rain with those clouds we had on Saturday, it never showed up and the sun was shining brightly on Sunday after the morning fog, so that was a nice surprise as I thought for sure we'd be seeing some rain by then.

Computer down, may be omissions

Sorry, but my computer is not working at this time, so if you haven't heard from me lately or I'm omitting some news you've sent me, that's the reason.

School to start next Wednesday

t's hard to believe that school will be starting soon, September 1, so Fall sports will be in full swing right off the bat and it will be time to watch for school buses and kids on their way to school in the morning and back home in the afternoon.
