Cross Country
Local runners fared well in the state Class B Cross Country meet last Saturday at Sun Willows Golf Course, Pasco.
Naselle Comet Cramer Smith, a sophomore, finished in 18th place in 17:56. Team mate Nathan Reitz, a junior, was 28th in 18:21.
For the Wahkiakum Mules, Bradley Pugh, a senior, finished 25th in 18:18 and Collan Riley, a sophomore, finished 52nd in 18:56.
There were 129 runners in the race.
Northwest Christian from Lacey won the team competition with 83 points. Other Southwest District teams did well: Mossyrock was third at 118, North Beach sixth at 174, and White Pass eighth at 249.
