Wahkiakum Mule senior Brett Chaput placed first in the discus and set a new Wahkiakum High School record. He threw the disc 163'8". The mark surpassed a 35-year old record of 163'7" set by Ed Cochran. It is also the longest mark among Washington's Class 2B athletes.
