The Wahkiakum Mule baseball team's offense was a no show through the first four innings last Thursday, but the bats began to awaken in the fifth when they scored a pair of runs before the final out was recorded in the 12-2, five-inning loss to Naselle.

Last Thursday, the Wahkiakum Lady Mules overcame Naselle’s four run first inning to 10-run their KM counterparts in a 14-4 six-inning victory at Cathlamet.

For the 14th time in school history, the Wahkiakum Mule boys basketball team has journeyed east to the “B” state basketball tournament and returned to Cathlamet with hardware in the bag.

The Mule Train heads to Spokane for the state tournament today (Thursday) following a last second (literally) victory over the Grizzlies of Bear Creek High School last Friday in Mt.Vernon.
