Trojans put an end to Mules' season

A strong second-half comeback wasn’t enough to keep the Wahkiakum Mules’ season alive as they fell 59-54 to the Pe Ell Trojans last Friday night in the Class 2B boys basketball tournament at Rochester High School.

Blayne Edwards wins state wrestling title

Wahkiakum High School junior Blayne Edwards won the state Class B wrestling championship in his 103 lb. weight class last Saturday at the Tacoma Dome.

Comettes swamp Mules 49-29 in district play

The Naselle Comette defense was too much for the Wahkiakum Lady Mules as Naselle won a 49-29 2B Girls District Tournament basketball team Tuesday in Rochester.

Mules fall to Ducks, face Mossyrock in loser-out game

The Wahkiakum Mules came up just short last Thursday night against the Toutle Lake Ducks in Castle Rock, suffering a 50-49 defeat.

Mules send four to state mat tournament

The Mule Wrestling team took eight wrestlers in to the regional wrestling tournament last weekend at Chief Leschi, and four earned the right to continue their season to the state tournament.

Lady Mules top South Bend to go to district

The Wahkiakum Lady Mule basketball team rebounded from two Central League losses last week to win a district tournament qualifying game Monday.

The Wahkiakum Mule boys are looking to put a rough regular season behind them as they open district play this Thursday (tonight) against the Toutle Lake Ducks in Castle Rock at 6:30 p.m.

The Toutle Lake Ducks looked like state tournament material as they handed the Wahkiakum Lady Mules a 58-16 Central League loss on Monday.

Mules' struggles continue this week

It was a tough week for Wahkiakum Mule players, coaches, and fans alike as the team dropped two road games and one at home, pushing their season-high losing streak to five games.
