Mules slide past Tigers, Trojans
The Wahkiakum Mule boys basketball team took a small step in the right direction this past week following back-to-back home upsets the week prior as the team buckled down to pick up a pair of league victories on the road.
Five Mule wrestlers medal at Rubber Chicken
For the regular season grand finale, the Wahkiakum Mule wrestlers were poised to head to Kalama for the famous Rubber Chicken. However the weekend at Hoquiam had a negative side effect, and coming off a week of illness, the team was only able to field a partial lineup of nine wrestlers ready for battle.

Wahkiakum fans were left utterly stunned this week after the Mules were upset in back-to-back home games by Winlock and Naselle, falling 54-41 to the Cardinals on Friday and 51-47 to the Comets on Monday.
Wrestlers fare well in tough competition
The Grizzly Invitational tournament last Saturday proved to be a great proving ground with some of the strongest competition of the year.

Mules go 6-0 over Christmas break
Following back-to-back losses to Morton-White Pass and Onalaska in mid-December, the Mules have won six straight games and closed out the first half of the season on a strong note.
Traveling two weeks in a row to compete on the east side trains the mind in many ways.
