WHS seniors graduate this Friday evening

Wahkiakum High School will hold a commencement ceremony for the Class of 2008 this Friday, 7:30 p.m., in the high school gym.
Valedictorian is Valle Ledtke. She is the daughter of Jerry and Becky Ledtke of Skamokawa. With a 3.82 grade point average, her activities include National Honor Society, class officer, Key Club, and Pep Club, and she has lettered in track, basketball, cross country, volleyball and cheerleading. She plans to attend Western Washington University.
Salutatorian is Michael Weiler. He is the son of Kate Hanigan and Chris Weiler of Cathlamet. With a grade point average of 3.8 his activities include Honor Society, student body vice-president, Tech Club, Key Club, and National FFA, and he has lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track. He will attend the University of Washington.
Joining Ledtke and Weiler in speaking will be Hayden Miles, class choice; Natasha Ford, faculty choice; Falon Haddix-Mackey, welcome address, and Whitley Wirkkala, closing address.
The public is welcome to attend the ceremony.
