This Saturday September 30th from 10:00 – 2:00 PM is Wahkiakum County’s 1st Annual Prescription Drug Take Back Day!

Here is an update on the event sponsored by Wahkiakum Community Network this Saturday in partnership with Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office to host our first annual Prescription Drug Tack Back Program! It has shaped up to be a great opportunity for the community! There will be two booths – one at Cathlamet Pharmacy and one at Rosburg School/Johnson Park.

Cathlamet PHARMACY, MAIN STREET: If you visit the Cathlamet Pharmacy this Saturday from 10:00 – 2:00 you will find Wahkiakum Community Network Chairman Tammy Peterson, Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office Deputy McBride and Reserve Deputy Alan McComas manning the Cathlamet Pharmacy Take Back Booth.

· ROSBURG STORE/JOHNSON PARK: If you visit the Rosburg Store/Johnson Park this Saturday (right across the street from Rosburg Store and the corner of Altoona Pillar Rock/West SR 4 in Rosburg) from 10:00 – 2:00 you will find Lia Sealund and Keith Reitz from Wahkiakum Community Network and Wahkiakum County Sheriff’s Office Deputy Howell and Reserve Deputy Kevin Maki working the Take Back Booth there.

Please, if you have any unused medications in your cabinets, please consider bringing them to either of the stations so we can properly dispose of the medication and keep it out of the waterways and out of unintended hands! I hope you can help us spread the word by forwarding this out to your contacts. We hope to see you there!
