The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

The Wahkiakum Mules brothers Lars and Gunnar Blix combined to stifle the visiting Adna Pirates last Thursday in a pair of Central 2B League games, winning the opener 6-2 before taking the nightcap 4-0.

The Pirates jumped on the scoreboard early, scoring both of their runs in the first inning of game one on five base hits. That proved to be as much damage as the Pirates would do, however, as the Blix Brothers collectively allowed just three hits over the final 13 innings.

At the plate, Lars Blix smacked a solo shot, while Mitchell Dault, Mason Mackey, Dallas Peacock, and Joey Moore each contributed RBI hits for the Mules (5-3, 4-2 in league).

The Mules are idle until April 11, when they travel to Pe Ell for a double-header.
