OLYMPIA – The Washington State Department of Natural Resources (DNR) Pacific Cascade Region will host a meeting today (December 12) regarding the Tunerville recreation area. View the location of the Tunerville recreation area at: http://1.usa.gov/1aEdDqk.

Members of the public who attend will have an opportunity to learn about and give input on future management options for this popular recreation destination.

Interested parties are invited to attend the Tunerville Public Meeting, Thursday, December 12, 6 to 8 p.m. at the Naselle High School Commons, 793 Washington State Route 4 in Naselle.

DNR seeks to provide outdoor recreation opportunities to the public throughout Washington state. Recreation on DNR-managed lands includes hiking, hunting, fishing, horseback riding, camping, off-road vehicle (ORV) riding, mountain biking, and boating.

The agency provides trails and campgrounds in a primitive, natural setting. Most recreation on these lands takes place in the 2.2 million acres of forests that DNR manages as state trust lands. DNR manages 1,100 miles of trails, 143 recreation sites, and a wide variety of landscapes across the state.
