Westend news:

The Community Super Sale was held last weekend in the Grays River Valley Center at Johnson Park, with the vendors and the shoppers grateful for a spot to get out of the rain. The hallways and cafeteria were set up nicely so the shoppers could browse to their hearts content and I’m told that most vendors and shoppers were pleased with the venue and would be interested in doing it again.

Lunch items and baked goods were available for sale as well and were provided by the Ladies of the Grays River United Methodist Church. I was able to purchase some of my favorite breads and desserts to bring home. Yummy stuff! Thank you ladies.

We hope to do a sale of this type again, so if you are interested in helping us put it together, please contact me at 465-2960.

The Free Friday Night Movie synopsis for this week: This award winning family friendly movie tells the story of fearless optimist Anna who teams up with rugged mountain man Kristoff and his loyal reindeer Sven in an epic journey. They encounter Everest-like conditions, mystical trolls and a hilarious snowman named Olaf in a race to find Anna’s sister, Elsa, whose icy powers have trapped the kingdom of Arendelle in eternal winter. Even with all the distractions and obstacles, Anna and Kristoff continue their race to save the kingdom.

Remember, the movie is free, and we have concessions available with popcorn, pop, and candy for very reasonable prices. The show starts at 7 p.m. Bring the kids and enjoy a fun movie for the whole family.

The annual Rosburg Community Club Chicken Dinner will be held at the Rosburg Hall on April 13 from 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Take time out of your day to come and enjoy an old fashioned, home cooked with all the trimmings chicken dinner culminated with the delicious desserts. At the same time you will be supporting the Rosburg Community Club’s ongoing efforts in giving back to our community.
