Mules split with Pe Ell

April 23, 2014

The Mules baseball team split a doubleheader with Pe Ell at home on Friday. They won their first game 1-0.

“Gunnar Blix pitched a complete game,” said Coach Kyle Hurley, “with two hits, seven strike outs and no earned runs. It was a fabulous game with some great pitching and great defense. It was just an all around great team effort.”

The Mules lost the second game 6-2. Pitcher Zach Brown gave up a couple walks and four earned runs. Mason Mackey and Blix both had hits and Cody Terpsma had two.

If the weather permits, the Mules will travel to Napavine today (Thursday).
