April 30, 2014

Wahkiakum Youth Baseball teams squeezed their first home games in before the rain on Saturday April 26. Majors Division team Moore Auto and Major/Minor Division team Luce Excavation both won their games against Longview teams. Rookie Division team Sharon’s Pizza had an excellent game, along with T-ball teams Weatherguard, Cathlamet Market and Cathlamet Chevron.

Next Saturday, May 3, we will be starting games at 1:30 and finishing under the lights with the last game starting at 7 p.m. Come out and support our local youth ball players.

Saturday, May 10, we will start games at 11:30 and continue again through a 7 p.m. night cap game under the lights. This will be a special day for Wahkiakum Youth Baseball. We will be dedicating Field 1, Bjorge Field after longtime sponsor and supporter of youth sports, Jim Bjorge. At 4:15 pm, prior to the start of the 4:30 Majors game, we will have a short dedication of the field in Jim’s memory.
