Welfare check finds man deceased

On July 23, a deputy responded to a request for a welfare check when someone noticed that a resident had not been picking up his mail.

David Willis, 64, of 22 N. Welcome Slough Road was found deceased at home. He had been dead for some time, according to Sheriff Mark Howie.

Dan Bigelow from the Coroner’s Office reported that Willis had died of hypoglycemia, a secondary complication of diabetes.
