Jean Marcelle Heagy, of Cathlamet, died September 11, 2014 at the age of 94.

She was born in Seattle on September 10, 1920 to Chris and Bertha (Provencel) Campbell. She graduated from Lincoln High School in Seattle in 1938 and moved from Vancouver to Cathlamet in 1948.

Mrs. Heagy was a devoted wife, homemaker, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She enjoyed working on varied crafts, playing cards, fishing and gambling and she was a devoted Seahawks fan.

Jean was a fun-loving, energetic firecracker who never met a stranger. She was a hard worker, dedicated to a perfect completion of each task.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Errol Heagy; son Dennis Errol Heagy; daughter Judy Heagy-Houk and sisters Marie McGinnis and Birdie Watkins.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law Dennis and Carole Barkley, Steve and Trina Heagy, Terry and Mary Heagy and Ron and Lane Heagy; 18 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life ceremony will be held Saturday, September 20, 11:30 a.m., at Cathlamet Elementary School Multi-purpose Room. Dowling Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
