The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

On September 20, 2014, Skamokawa native Marjorie (Bunn) and Jerry Dunne will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary. The couple began their lives together in Portland, OR, where Marjorie began a career with Fred Meyer Corp. and Jerry with Hercules Inc. They each retired after more than 30 years. Marjorie and Jerry started a family in 1968 with Linda Marie, then Julie Ann in 1970. In 1978 the couple purchased their first home and moved to Gresham, just outside of Portland. In 1993 Marjorie and Jerry became proud grandparents to Michael and again in 1996 with Monica. Since retiring, the two have been traveling full time in their motor home, wintering in Nevada and Arizona, and spending the summers in the northwest. The couple enjoys fishing, needle-crafts, and spending time with family and countless friends. Their daughters have planned an intimate gathering of family for their special day.
