The Pe Ell/Willapa Valley Titans pounded the Wahkiakum Mules for a 41-6 Central League football game Friday in Cathlamet.

The Titan defense took Mule running back Brady LaBerge to the ground after a short gain. The Titans won 41-6.

The Titans wasted little time getting on the scoreboard. Jason Fluke scored on a 5-yard run at 10:41 of the first quarter and Robert Espina kicked the conversion for a 7-0 lead The Titans then returned a Mule punt 45 yards for a touchdown for a 13-0 lead. Aidan Arringrton intercepted a Gunnar Blix pass and ran it the Mule 12-yard line, and Trevor Cook scored on a 10-yard run. Arrignton ran the conversion, and the Titans led 21-0 at 5:40 of the first quarter.

The visitors added four scores in the second quarter to lead 41-0 at halftime.

The Mules got on the scoreboard with 7:07 left in the fourth quarter. Blix scored on a 3-yard run. The conversion kick failed, and the final score was 41-6.

The Titans evened their season record at 2-2. The Mules fell to 1-3; they play Morton/White Pass next Friday.
