Sheriff's Report, December 4, 2014

 

December 4, 2014



Wahkiakum County law enforcement officers and emergency response personnel handled a variety of reports during the past week, including:

November 25 — 6:57 a.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a Grays River resident who had fallen and broken an arm. 10:01 p.m. A Cathlamet resident complained about her neighbor’s garbage. 2:22 p.m. A caller reported seeing a woman standing in the middle of SR 4 in the Rosedale area screaming at a man on a bicycle. 9:29 p.m. A deputy, state patrol, District 4 Fire Department and the Cathlamet ambulance responded to a vehicle rollover on SR 4 in the Flandersville area.

November 26 — 5:15 a.m. An individual was taken into custody after a vehicle stop. 11:18 p.m. Deputies attempted to locate a vehicle heading eastbound on SR 4 after the report of the theft of gas from a station in Naselle. 2:33 p.m. Deputies and Child Protective Services were contacted after a report of inappropriate touching on a school bus. 2:50 p.m. A caller reported that a family member was receiving harassing phone calls.

November 27 — 1:01 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious juvenile who had taken items from a Rosedale business; the juvenile said he had been given permission to take items after hours. 3:03 a.m. The Grays River Fire Department responded to a power outage in Rosburg after a tree came down; the PUD was notified and an employee was enroute. 9:13 a.m. A vehicle was seen behind a closed gate on KM; a deputy investigated. 10:56 a.m. A caller reported a suspicious person on SR 4 in the Elochoman Valley area. 7:14 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale resident. 9:08 p.m. A caller reported that two people were being very bold in their attempts to get drivers to pull over on Puget Island. 9:47 p.m. A caller reported that two people who were behaving strangely had come to the door and asked to use the phone. 10:29 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet resident who may have suffered a stroke.

November 28 — 2:54 a.m. Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at a Cathlamet residence; one was taken into custody and a domestic violence advocate was notified. 11:20 a.m. An individual with a warrant was located in Longview. 12:46 a.m. A caller reported receiving a fraudulent phone call from someone asking for social security numbers and claiming to be from health and human services. 2:30 p.m. The Grays River Fire Department and the Grays River ambulance responded to aid a Deep River resident who was having difficulty breathing. 3:45 p.m. A caller who had gone for a drive in the Rosburg area got stuck behind a gate when it was closed some time after they had passed; forest security was notified. 4:12 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale resident who was in a lot of pain. 7:44 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale resident who was hemorrhaging.

November 29 — 8:10 a.m. A caller reported that someone was shooting at elk in a no shooting zone; the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife was notified and a deputy found what appeared to be hunters’ vehicles in the area. 8:18 a.m. A caller reported football sized rocks on SR 4 in the Flandersville area. 10:11 a.m. A caller reported that a stop sign and mail boxes had been knocked down and smashed in the Skamokawa area. 10:50 a.m. A caller reported that he had been flagged down and that it had something to do with the possible poaching of a bull elk. 1:32 p.m. A subject with an elk in the back of his vehicle was taken into custody. 2:56 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported a burglary.

November 30 — 1:18 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island resident who had fallen and may have broken her arm. 7:17 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Rosedale resident with back pain. 7:36 a.m. A welfare check was requested for a minor in Cathlamet; the caller was told her concerns about the adult in the house drinking alcohol and looking at porn did not “constitute threat.” 12:04 p.m. A caller requested that cones be put up on an Elochoman Valley road to warn drivers of areas that were sinking. 2:16 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet resident who was having breathing difficulties.
