The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

Longtime Cathlamet resident Inez A. Danielsen died on December 1, 2014. She was born on January 23, 1919 to George and Esther Ohrberg in Hoboken, New Jersey. The family moved west in the thirties and Inez graduated from Wahkiakum High School in 1937. She married Arnet Danielsen in 1938.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 2009 and by her brothers Walter, Carl and George Ohrberg. She is survived by daughter, Virginia Ostling and son, Ray Danielsen, as well as her brother, Robert Ohrberg, all of Cathlamet. She had four grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She also had many nieces and nephews as well as friends.

Inez enjoyed gardening and sewing. She and Arnet traveled to Norway and Sweden and took several trips to Mexico. She was a member of Eastern Star and of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church.

A Celebration of Life service is planned for January 24, 2015, 1 p.m. at the Sons of Norway Hall on Puget Island.
