December 25, 2014



December 15 —9:01 a.m. The Cathlamet fire department, the Cathlamet ambulance and deputies responded to a one vehicle accident with injuries on the east side of KM; Lifeflight responded. 1:14 p.m. A caller reported seeing dogs out in the middle of SR 4 near the old garbage dump. 2:03 p.m. The Grays River ambulance responded to aid a Rosburg resident after a medical alarm was activated. It turned out to be a false alarm. 4:55 p.m. A motorist reported that he had struck a deer and that it was still in the middle of SR 4 near the school access road in Cathlamet. 7:33 p.m. A custodial dispute was reported on Puget Island; an individual was taken into custody on a warrant from the Longview Police Department.

December 16— 2:39 a.m. A 911 call went dead and coordinates showed that the call was coming from a storage unit in the Rosedale area. Dispatch called the number back and left a message. 9:07 a.m. A caller reported that a seagull was stuck in a net in the Cathlamet area. 9:39 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported a suspicious vehicle. 10:52 a.m. A caller reported a horse in the middle of a Puget Island road. 11:19 a.m. A caller reported that someone had used his credit card fraudulently. 11:22 p.m. A caller feared that a cat had been locked up inside a vacant motor home. 7:15 p.m. A man was seen sitting on the shoulder of SR 4 near County Line Park; a deputy was unable to locate the individual.

December 17 — 8:27 a.m. A caller reported a possible accident after seeing a car out in the trees on the south side of SR 4 near County Line Park. 8:51 p.m. A Cathlamet resident was concerned about receiving religious propaganda in the mail.

December 18— 12:47 a.m. A Skamokawa resident reported that someone had knocked on his window. 7:41 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Puget Island resident who was struggling to breathe. 9:16 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that a juvenile had run away. The juvenile was located. 1:15 p.m. A Cathlamet resident who was concerned that neighbors had been parking on his land asked a deputy to check on his property. 1:37 p.m. A caller reported that cows had gotten loose in the Elochoman Valley area; a message was left with the responsible party. 2:14 p.m. Longview Police Department asked local deputies to be on the lookout for a vehicle belonging to a subject with a Cathlamet address that may have been involved in a hit and run accident. 6:59 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an elderly Cathlamet resident who was having trouble breathing.

December 19— 12:29 a.m. A Cathlamet resident reported that a vehicle had been stolen sometime in the past three days; it was the same vehicle that had been reported in a hit and run accident on 12/18/14. 2:17 p.m. The PUD reported that there would be a planned outage for six homes in the Grays River area for approximately two hours while they repaired a water main. 4:51 p.m. A caller reported an illegal burn on Puget Island; deputies were unable to locate the burn.

December 20 — 3:18 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported a missing dog. 12:42 p.m. Flooding was reported on several roads in Wahkiakum County. Trees were removed from roadways in Rosburg and on Puget Island. 2:18 p.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid a Cathlamet resident with breathing problems.

December 21— 8:11 a.m. A Deep River resident reported a suspicious person on her property. 8:26 a.m. A Puget Island resident reported that a houseboat had moved and was blocking a channel; the owner was contacted. 8:41 a.m. A caller reported seeing dogs on SR 4 in the Cathlamet area. 10:13 a.m. The Cathlamet ambulance responded to aid an elderly Rosedale resident who was complaining of nausea and weakness. 11:03 a.m. A caller reported a large rock on the fog line of SR 4 in the Flandersville area; a deputy removed the rock from the roadway. 11:15 a.m. A Deep River resident called about two strangers who said they were surveying acreage. 12:58 p.m. A Puget Island resident reported that her dog went missing after her back yard flooded. The animal was later located. 3:17 p.m. A Skamokawa resident reported that a former boyfriend was attempting to break into her home; she was advised to take out a no contact order and arrange a civil standby to transfer his belongings. 7:18 p.m. A Rosburg resident reported a power outage; the PUD was notified and restored power. 8:11 p.m. A motorist reported that a deer was still alive after being struck by a vehicle in the Grays River area.
