Naselle Knowledge Bowl teams competed

Five Naselle High School Knowledge Bowl teams traveled to Grays Harbor College in Aberdeen on Thursday, December 18 to participate in an ESD 113 Knowledge Bowl meet.

The Naselle teams competed against 45 teams from Hoquiam, Montesano, Elma, North Beach, Ocosta, Quinault, Wishkah, South Bend, and Willapa Valley.

The Force placed 5th overall and 3rd among B teams and is comprised of Abigail Bennett, Emily Gjovik, Brittany Waltemate, Amethyst Wirkkala, Kyler Wulf and Chloe Zimmerman.

As Naselle's top placing team, The Force qualifies to compete in a regional meet in Olympia on February 5 for a chance to advance to the state tournament for a second year in a row in Arlington.

Bond, Ionic Bond placed 13th overall and 6th among B teams. Ionic Bond consists of Raja Estes, Kyryn Jacot, Andrew Todd and Selah Wulf.

The Naselle A-Team placed 30th overall and was comprised of Connor See, Morgan Ridgeway, Alexis Nortrup, Amelia Tutu'u and Jacob Scrabeck.

The Naselle 4 Musketeers--Brandon Barnes, Allyn Bauer, Angel Evans, and Corey Smith--placed 36th overall and TEKK 4--Taylor Eaton, Ellie Chapman, Kendra Leeland, and Makayla Matthews placed 37th overall.

This meet concluded a successful Knowledge Bowl season for all five Naselle teams.
