'Yes' votes mean a lot to staff, students, directors

February 19, 2015

To The Eagle:

I would like to thank the voters of the Naselle-Grays River Valley School District for their recent support of our school’s Maintenance and Operations (M&O) levy. In this time of economic challenge, a ‘yes’ vote is of major significance and a tremendous sign of the value you place in our children’s future. Your ‘yes’ sends a message to every child and staff member that you believe in the power of education and community support. I am proud to represent a community that supports its school in this manner!

On behalf of the students, staff, and board of directors, thank you for your continued support and commitment to our school district. We value your partnership and are grateful for the opportunity to put your hard earned money to work for the benefit of our students and community. We realize there are expectations and responsibilities that come with such a vote. You expect a quality education for our children; you expect us to work with families for the betterment of each child; and, you expect us to be good stewards of your money. We will do just that!

Please know that we do not take your vote lightly, no matter what your personal choice was as indicated on your ballot.

Thank you for voting!

Lisa Nelson, Superintendent

Naselle-Grays River Valley School District
