Greetings from the fair office. Hope everyone is doing wonderful. The 2015 fair theme is "BOOTS, BUCKLES AND BARRELS OF FUN." This year’s premium book is being dedicated to Sandi Nelson.

We have several events coming up soon and throughout the summer. Like us on facebook and you won’t miss any of the events.

First is Easter Bingo happening on Friday April 3 at 6 p.m., at the JA Wendt Elementary multi-purpose room. Martha and her family have been working hard to find lots of wonderful prizes. Thanks to everyone who has donated to the bingo.

The next day, April 4, is the Flea Market at the fairgrounds starting at 9 a.m. If you haven't been to one yet you should check it out. Last month we had 20 vendors. It is my understanding the Easter Bunny will be there.

On April 25 the 4-H will hold its Super Saturday.

Back by popular demand this year we will be having the Silver Buckle Series. The dates for the three events are as follows: June 27, July 25 and August 22. Hope to see everyone at the fairgrounds for these events.

The fairgrounds flower beds are beginning to take on a new look. Thank you to all the volunteers for all your hard work; the grounds will be beautiful for fair.

It’s almost time for the fair royalty to get going. Anyone interested in running for fair royalty should contact the office at 360-795-3480, Amber Eaton at 360-484-3129 or Marietta Montgomery at 360-795-3675.

We are working on earning money to upgrade the youth building. We want to get the outside painted, the entire building insulated and a restroom put in so we can use it more effficiently. We are planning a new event (Mother's Day Dinner and Auction) which is scheduled to take place on May 9 at 6 p.m., so mark your calendar and come on out. I will have more information next week and check the facebook page; I put all the information there.
