Skamokawa Farmstead Creamery's first annual Easter Egg Hunt

Skamokawa Farmstead Creamery's first annual Easter egg hunt had a great turn out on Sunday. Approximately 150 smiling faces enjoyed egg hunts, a special Easter bunny, petting zoo, and time to just sit and relax.

Staff members Vicki Allenback and Annie Jeineck say they and volunteers had an incredible time, "The kids had a wonderful time with the baby goats jumping and running like kids do. The adults watched their children have fun and took tons of priceless photos while petting goats and enjoying the farm. This was our kick off annual Easter egg hunt of many to come. We could not have been more delighted of the outcome. We wish to extend our deepest thank you to all who attended."

The creamery debuted its first production of cajeta, a Mexican caramel sauce, and sliced green apples. Spring is the start of the milking and cheese making season. Creamery cheese will be back on the market starting Saturday at the Astoria Master Gardeners event.
