The Wahkiakum County Eagle - Established as The Skamokawa Eagle in 1891

On May 13 at 6 p.m., Cowlitz County Master Gardener Phyllis Collins will teach people how to make Hypertufa garden pots and planters. Hypertufa is the art of making lightweight cement pots.

In this class participants mix the ingredients, cast a planter, get ideas, learn techniques, and gain the knowledge to make more forms at home. Projects will be taken home.

The class cost is $20 per person. Participants must pre-register by May 8. Class size is limited. The class will be held in the Floral Building located on the Cowlitz County fairgrounds in Longview. The workshop is sponsored by Washington State University Extension Master Gardeners.
