Westend news:

This Saturday is the 23rd annual Letter Carriers “Stamp out Hunger” food drive. This week, the Naselle, and Rosburg/Grays River mail carriers will be delivering a plastic collection bag to every curbside mailbox. Non perishable food items, such as peanut butter, juice, canned meats, fish, soup, vegetables, pasta, cereal, spaghetti sauce, etc, can be placed in the bags and hung on the mailbox to be collected on May 9.

If you don’t receive a bag, any plastic bag left at the mailbox will work, the mail carrier will pick it up and do the rest. There will also be a collection box at both post offices throughout this week. Collected items will benefit our local food pantries. All donations will be greatly appreciated.
